Jennifer Aniston to Be Artificially "Artificially Inseminated"

The weird thing about Jennifer Aniston is that if you look at movies like The Good Girl, you realize she's actually quite a good actress. Too bad she has a knack for picking projects that are reductive versions of her Hollywood persona. The Break Up, indeed. Now the Jen has officially hit the big 4-0, she's announced to be working on a project with Jason Bateman called The Baster. We'll give you two guesses what the crux of that film is about, and the first one doesn't count if Aniston ends up promoting the film by adopting a kid from Machu Picchu.

Katrina wants a surprise from Sallu on Valentines Day

In a recent interview Katrina Kaif revealed that she and Salman are busy on Valentine’s day and she is expecting a surprise from him. Read below:

Rumour has it that your relationship with Salman is headed for permanency. He’s supposedly buying you a home on Valentine’s Day?

I must say that, according to media, Salman seems to be in some generous mood. He’s supposed to be buying me a place; supposedly buying Asin a place… It’s hilarious. Though the truth is, I don’t think that he’s buying any house — for her or me.

What’s your Valentine’s Day plan? Any special event with Salman?

Yes! Salman and I have plans on V-day. Unfortunately, not together. I’m shooting a song in Turkey with Rajkumar Santoshi; while Salman is shooting for Veer in northern India. Unless he plans to surprise me, of course!

So do you think Salman is gonna surprise Katrina?

Caught! Lohan Loses It, Tori Fires Up
Fri., Feb. 6, 2009 1:42 PM PST by Ted Casablanca
Lindsay Lohan, whose pals, no joke, are writing to me asking what the ef to do about their wandering-again chum, checked into Villa last night—but barely checked out.

While GF Sam Ronson, who was looking and acting far more put together, spun away, L2 sat in a booth behind her estranged SO. Lindsay, clad completely in black, would discreetly drink from bottles hidden below her table. Lohan's skin literally looked like it was falling off of her barely there shrunken frame, just grossly skinny.

While SamRo toiled away for her paycheck (does Lindsay even recall what that's like?), L.L. flirted and chatted up good-lookin' guys at her private table. Any girl who entered the vicinity, Lohan very loudly bitched and cussed out—it was totally like Tonya Harding or Amy Winehouse, take your pick, was starring in Mean Girls.

You really off the gals for good, Linds? Appears so. Oh, and there was a surprise male horny type guest who worshipped at Lohan's evil little throne, any guesses who?

How Water Is Related To Weight Loss

Water Contains Zero Calories
Because the calorie-content of water is zero, drinking water instead of milk, fruit juices or regular sodas helps to lower the calorie content of your diet and thus helps weight reduction. That said, water contains no nutrition either. By comparison, soft drinks like milk and fruit juice have significant nutritional content. Milk is a good source of calcium and protein, while citrus fruit juice (like orange or grapefruit juice) is an excellent source of vitamin C. In fact, one glass of citrus fruit juice can meet all your daily vitamin C needs.

Water Can Fill You Up
Some dieters find it helpful to drink a glass of water when they feel hungry between meals, or just before a meal. However, I do not recommend this as a regular appetite-reduction tactic. Firstly, because hunger is an important indicator of low blood sugar, which water can do nothing to correct. And if blood sugar falls too low, it can lead to irresistible urges to eat junk food or binge. Secondly, drinking water purely to fill up your stomach is merely an artificial short-term measure which does nothing to help create the sort of eating habits that are essential for long term weight control.

Nutritional Alternatives to Water
If you wish to increase your fluid intake, a good option is to eat more fruit, like any citrus fruit. As stated above, as well as being rich in water, these foods are highly nutritious and rich in fiber. They help to fill up your stomach, satisfy your sweet tooth and boost your intake of vitamin C. Eating fruit is definitely a great eating habit to increase your chances of losing weight without regain.

Low Sodium Diets Reduce Water Retention
The body maintains a healthy fluid balance by a complex cell mechanism involving sodium, potassium and other electrolytes. In simple terms, if you eat too much salt (sodium) you will retain more water, leading to weight gain. Anyone who suffers from fluid retention and accompanying swelling (edema), especially women who experience premenstrual symptoms (PMS) or obese men with high blood pressure, is advised by dietitians to follow a low sodium diet (eg. the DASH diet). Ideally, limit your intake to 1000 milligrams of sodium per day, until the water retention eases.

Low Carb Diets Reduce Water Retention
Very low carb weight loss plans also reduce fluid retention, but not in a healthy way. In simple terms, because carbohydrate binds with water in the body, the fewer carbs you eat the less 'water weight' you carry. To many dieters this sounds a very effective way of reducing weight. Unfortunately, as soon as you return to eating a normal diet, the water weight returns. Meantime, by not eating healthy carbohydrate, most low carb dieters run an increased risk of nutritional deficiency. And an unhealthy body frequently leads to an inefficient metabolism and slower weight reduction.

Best Way To Reduce Excess Fluid Retention
Here are three tips to reduce unnecessary water retention.

- Reduce your sodium intake, (to 1000-3500 mg per day).
- Raise your calcium intake, (to 1200-1350 mg per day).
- Drink plenty of fluids, (8-10 glasses of water per day).
- Eat plenty of diuretic fruit and vegetables.
- The healthier your daily diet, the less water retention you'll have.

Nail Care Tips

Nail Care Tips
For your nails to be healthy your diet should include a lot of fruits and raw vegetables so that they get the required vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Eat food that is rich in silicon like broccoli, fish and onions. Eat foods rich in biotins like whole grains. Drink plenty of water and other fruit juices. Food rich in zinc and vitamin B will strengthen your nails. Fresh carrot juice rich in calcium and phosphorous is perfect for strengthening nails. In addition remember the following things:

Lack of vitamin A and calcium in your body causes dryness and brittleness.
Lack of protein, folic acid and vitamin C causes hangnails.
White bands across the nails are a result of protein deficiency.
A lack of sufficient hydrochloric acid can cause splitting nails.
Lack of vitamin B12 can lead to dryness, very rounded and curved ends and darkening of nails.
Insufficient zinc can cause development of white spots on the nails.
Cuts and cracks in the nails may indicate a need for more liquids.
Red skin around your cuticles can be caused by poor metabolism of essential fatty acids.

Bridal Makeup Tips

Wedding Day is the most important day in the life of a woman and every young girl desires to look at her best on this blessed day in her life. Here are some tips to make you look as gorgeous as a queen:

Use heavy-pigmented cream foundation and layer it with powder foundation to make the skin look smoother.
Use powder foundation on neck, ears and chest too so that you don't seem to have a painted face.
Use a concealer shade similar to the foundation and blend both well.
Learn some camouflage makeup tricks and buy its products to use on your big day.
If you have combination skin, use water based foundation and a dry sponge.
Hide the under eye circles by applying concealer. Blend it towards the nose and use downward strokes.
For a perfect eye shape, use a small brush to blend a medium tone color from just below the brow arch downwards in a semi-circle motion.
Use light peach eye shadow as eyelid base.
Choose lip liner that blends easily with lipstick for that soft glossy look that looks good in photographs too.
Place the focus on the face either on eyes or on lip and underplay the other with neutral pink or brown shades.
Thin and small lips look more sensuous with light lip colors while fuller lips can use deep shades.

10 Tips for Perfect Wedding Make-Up

So you've got the guy, the dress, the flowers and chosen a hairstyle, but what about your make-up? Here are a few tips that will ensure you look picture perfect when walking down the isle to say 'I-do'!

10 Tips for Perfect Wedding Make-Up
1. Beauty Regime before the big day
To get that glowing, fresh-faced look, there are a few things to consider a few weeks prior to your wedding day. A skin and nail care plan should be started about 6 weeks before the wedding. Talk to your beautician about having regular facials and manicures.

Don't get too much sun before your wedding. Sunburns and peeling skin shouldn't sabotage your wedding day. Consider Spray-on-tanning , a 100% natural way to achieve a tan. Ask Cristina about Golden Tropics Spray on Tan.

2. Body-Mind-Spirit
Don't forget the importance of Body-Mind-Spirit. What's going on inside is just as important to looking good. As you know preparing for a wedding is very stressful and if you are not looking after yourself by not getting enough sleep or not eating properly it will without a doubt show on your face!

If you are really stressed out consider having a relaxing massage once a week for a month and also a day before the wedding. Burn some relaxing essential oils around the house to help calm your nerves.

If you are having trouble sleeping try Valerian tea before going to bed, available from most health food shops

3. Trial
When you have chosen a make-up artist, organise a trial around 1-2 months before the wedding.

It is a good idea to have your bridesmaids with you to give their input and also advise what kind of look they want themselves.

Have pictures from magazines to show the make-up artist various looks that appeal to you.

Mention if you have any skin problems or allergies etc or if there are any particular ways you wear your make-up.

If you are having a day-time wedding it is ideal to organise the trial during the day as this will give you a better idea as to how the make-up will look

4. Have pictures and swatches of wedding dress and bridesmaid's dresses
Having pictures of the dresses will give the make-up artist a starting point for designing the perfect look for you and your bridesmaids.

Fabric swatches of the wedding dress and bridesmaid's dresses and a description of the flowers will also help when choosing colours. The colours should compliment both the dress and the flowers.

5. What look to go with
The style you choose for your wedding make-up will ultimately depend on your personal preference, but there are some other factors to consider:

The time of the ceremony -is it a day or evening wedding? A lighter, more natural look is more suited to a day wedding and a more dramatic look is suited to an evening one.

What time of year is your wedding? If you are having a Spring/Summer wedding, go for bright, pastel colours. Warm, deeper shades will lend themselves well to a winter wedding.

Your skin tones and hair colour? There are two colour palettes- warm or cool .

If you are Blond or fair skinned, cool tones of grey, blue, soft pink and lilac are ideal.

If you are brunette or olive skinned, warm neutral tones of brown, taupe, burgundy & red are more suited.

Remember your make up should be a little more dramatic than your everyday make-up as you can tend to look pale and wash-out in photos if your make-up doesn't stand out.

6. Your Face
Foundations with yellow undertones work best with flash photography.

Keep away from shimmer highlighters as this look will not show up well in photos and give a reflective shine.

Use a light dusting of translucent powder to prevent any unwanted shine.

Ask your make-up artist to use a bronzing powder to warm your skin tone and give a natural glow. Place on areas where the sun would naturally hit e.g. Forehead, cheeks and bridge of nose.

Blush- use more than not enough.

7. Your Eyes
The eye-area should be soft and natural with no heavy, dark lines.

Keep away from up to the minute eyeshadows and make-up trends as you will regret it when you look at your photos in years to come!

Use a brow pencil slightly darker than your hair colour and avoid heavy, dark shadows.

8. Your Lips
Use a lip-liner the same colour as your lipstick and avoid a noticeable or dark lip line.

The colour on your lips will depend on whether you are a warm or cool colour palette (see tip 5).

It is more flattering to define one area i.e. If you want dark, defined eyes, go for a lighter lip shade and if you want dark/bright lips go for natural, light eyes.

9. Timing
Ask your make-up artist to arrive as early as possible and allow plenty of time to get the job done. The last thing you want is to be rushed on your wedding day.

10. Touch Up Tips
Ask your mum or one of your bridesmaids to carry a powder compact, tissues and lipstick for touch ups during the day.

Cosleeping and Your Baby

The image of a baby and parent dozing off together isn't an uncommon one. But the practice of cosleeping, or sharing a bed with your infant, is controversial in the United States. Supporters of cosleeping believe that a parent's bed is just where an infant belongs. But is it safe?

Why Do Some People Choose to Cosleep?

Cosleeping supporters believe — and some studies support their beliefs — that cosleeping:

encourages breastfeeding by making nighttime breastfeeding more convenient
makes it easier for a nursing mother to get her sleep cycle in sync with her baby's
helps babies fall asleep more easily, especially during their first few months and when they wake up in the middle of the night

helps babies get more nighttime sleep (because they awaken more frequently with shorter duration of feeds, which can add up to a greater amount of sleep throughout the night)
helps parents who are separated from their babies during the day regain the closeness with their infant that they feel they missed

But do the risks of cosleeping outweigh the benefits?

Is Cosleeping Safe?

Despite the possible pros, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) warns parents not to place their infants to sleep in adult beds, stating that the practice puts babies at risk of suffocation and strangulation. And the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) agrees.

Cosleeping is a widespread practice in many non-Western cultures. However, differences in mattresses, bedding, and other cultural practices may account for the lower risk in these countries as compared with the United States.

According to the CPSC, at least 515 deaths were linked to infants and toddlers under 2 years of age sleeping in adult beds from January 1990 to December 1997:

121 of the deaths were attributed to a parent, caregiver, or sibling rolling on top of or against a baby while sleeping

more than 75% of the deaths involved infants younger than 3 months old

Cosleeping advocates say it isn't inherently dangerous and that the CPSC went too far in recommending that parents never sleep with children under 2 years of age. According to supporters of cosleeping, parents won't roll over onto a baby because they're conscious of the baby's presence — even during sleep.

Those who should not cosleep with an infant, however, include:

other children — particularly toddlers — because they might not be aware of the baby's presence

parents who are under the influence of alcohol or any drug because that could diminish their awareness of the baby

parents who smoke because the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) is greater
But can cosleeping cause SIDS? The connection between cosleeping and SIDS is unclear and research is ongoing. Some cosleeping researchers have suggested that it can reduce the risk of SIDS because cosleeping parents and babies tend to wake up more often throughout the night. However, the AAP reports that some studies suggest that, under certain conditions, cosleeping may increase the risk of SIDS, especially cosleeping environments involving mothers who smoke.

CPSC also reported more than 100 infant deaths between January 1999 and December 2001 attributable to hidden hazards for babies on adult beds, including:
suffocation when an infant gets trapped or wedged between a mattress and headboard, wall, or other object
suffocation resulting from a baby being face-down on a waterbed, a regular mattress, or on soft bedding such as pillows, blankets, or quilts
strangulation in a bed frame that allows part of an infant's body to pass through an area while trapping the baby's head

In addition to the potential safety risks, sharing a bed with a baby can sometimes prevent parents from getting a good night's sleep. And infants who cosleep can learn to associate sleep with being close to a parent in the parent's bed, which may become a problem at naptime or when the infant needs to go to sleep before the parent is ready.
Making Cosleeping as Safe as Possible

If you do choose to share your bed with your baby, make sure to follow these precautions:

Always place your baby on his or her back to sleep to reduce the risk of SIDS.

Always leave your child's head uncovered while sleeping.

Make sure your bed's headboard and footboard don't have openings or cutouts that could trap your baby's head.

Make sure your mattress fits snugly in the bed frame so that your baby won't become trapped in between the frame and the mattress.

Don't place a baby to sleep in an adult bed alone.

Don't use pillows, comforters, quilts, and other soft or plush items on the bed.

Don't drink alcohol or use medications or drugs that may keep you from waking and may cause you to roll over onto, and therefore suffocate, your baby.

Don't place your bed near draperies or blinds where your child could be strangled by cords.
Transitioning Out of the Parent's Bed

Most medical experts say the safest place to put an infant to sleep is in a crib that meets current standards and has no soft bedding. But if you've been cosleeping with your little one and would like to stop, talk to your doctor about making a plan for when your baby will sleep in a crib.

Transitioning to the crib by 6 months is usually easier — for both parents and baby — before the cosleeping habit is ingrained and other developmental issues (such as separation anxiety) come into play. Eventually, though, the cosleeping routine will likely be broken at some point, either naturally because the child wants to or by the parents' choice.

But there are ways that you can still keep your little one close by, just not in your bed. You could:

Put a bassinet, play yard, or crib next to your bed. This can help you maintain that desired closeness, which can be especially important if you're breastfeeding. The AAP says that having an infant sleep in a separate crib, bassinet, or play yard in the same room as the mother reduces the risk of SIDS.
Buy a device that looks like a bassinet or play yard minus one side, which attaches to your bed to allow you to be next to each other while eliminating the possibility of rolling over onto your infant.

Of course, where your child sleeps — whether it's in your bed or a crib — is a personal decision. As you're weighing the pros and cons, talk to your child's doctor about the risks, possible personal benefits, and your family's own sleeping arrangements.

Insomnia: How to Get a Good Night's Sleep

What causes insomnia?
Insomnia is the body's way of saying that something isn't right. Things that may cause insomnia include stress, too much caffeine, depression, changes in work shifts, and pain from medical problems, such as arthritis.

Many people have insomnia. People who have insomnia may not be able to fall asleep. They may wake up during the night and not be able to fall back asleep, or they may wake up too early in the morning.

Is insomnia a serious problem?
It's not really a serious problem for your health, but it can make you feel tired, depressed and irritable. It can also make it hard to concentrate during the day.

How much sleep do I need?
Most adults need about 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night. You know you're getting enough sleep if you don't feel sleepy during the day. The amount of sleep you need stays about the same throughout adulthood. However, sleep patterns may change with age. For example, older people may sleep less at night and take naps during the day.

What can my doctor do to find out why I'm not sleeping?
Your family doctor may ask you and your bed partner some questions about your sleep habits (such as when you go to bed and when you get up), any medicine you take, and the amount of caffeine and alcohol you drink. Your doctor may also ask if you smoke.

Other questions may include how long you've been having insomnia, if you have any pain (such as from arthritis), and if you snore while you sleep. Your doctor may also ask about events or problems in your life that may be upsetting you and making it hard for you to sleep.

What is a sleep diary?
If the cause of your insomnia is not clear, your doctor may suggest that you fill out a sleep diary. The diary will help you keep track of when you go to bed, how long you lie in bed before falling asleep, how often you wake during the night, when you get up in the morning and how well you sleep. A sleep diary may help you and your doctor identify patterns and conditions that may be affecting your sleep.

How is insomnia treated?
The treatment of insomnia can be simple. Often, once the problem that's causing the insomnia is taken care of, the insomnia goes away. The key is to find out what's causing the insomnia so that it can be dealt with directly. Simply making a few changes in their sleep habits helps many people.

What can I do to improve my sleep habits?
Here are some things you can do to help you sleep better:
Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, including weekends, even if you didn't get enough sleep. This will help train your body to sleep at night.
Develop a bedtime routine. Do the same thing every night before going to sleep. For example, take a warm bath and then read for 10 minutes every night before going to bed. Soon you'll connect these activities with sleeping, and doing them will help make you sleepy.
Use the bedroom only for sleeping or having sex. Don't eat, talk on the phone or watch TV while you're in bed.
Make sure your bedroom is quiet and dark. If noise is a problem, use a fan to mask the noise or use ear plugs. If you must sleep during the day, hang dark blinds over the windows or wear an eye mask.
If you're still awake after trying to fall asleep for 30 minutes, get up and go to another room. Sit quietly for about 20 minutes before going back to bed. Do this as many times as you need to until you can fall asleep.

Will sleeping pills help?
Sleeping pills can help in some cases, but they are not a cure for insomnia. They're only a temporary form of relief. They're best used for only a few days. Regular use can lead to rebound insomnia. This occurs when a person quits taking sleeping pills and his or her insomnia comes back.

Sleeping pills can be unsafe to use if you have certain health problems. Ask your doctor if sleeping pills would be helpful for you.

Tips to help you sleep:

Avoid or limit your use of caffeine (coffee, tea, sodas, chocolate), decongestants, alcohol and tobacco.

Exercise more often, but don't exercise within a few hours before going to bed.
Learn to reduce or manage the stress in your life.
Don't lie in bed worrying about things. Set aside another time just for worrying. For example, spend 30 minutes after dinner writing down what's worrying you and what you can do about it.

Try eating a light snack before going to bed, but don't eat too much right before bedtime. A glass of warm milk or some cheese and crackers may be all you need.
Don't nap during the day if naps seem to make your insomnia worse.

The loose-leaf herbal teas offered by Mountain Rose Herbs are made with certified organic ingredients, and when organic materials are not available, we will opt for carefully wildharvested herbs. We never have, nor will we ever use conventionally grown materials in our teas which may contain pesticide residues and other harmful chemicals.
Each loose tea is packaged in a re-sealable kraft bag with a paper glassine liner and comes with complete brewing instructions. Our 3 oz size brews 8-12 cups of tea, and our 1 lb size brews 40-60 cups of tea. All herbal teas are caffeine free.
All of our herbal supplement teas are Certified Kosher through Earth Kosher and those marked certified organic are 100% organic blends certified by OTCO.

Infusion = Tea made from leaves, flowers and light material. Put 1-2 teaspoons of herbal tea material into a brewing utensil of your choice and place in a 6-8 oz size cup. Add lightly boiled water and allow it to steep for 3-5 minutes. For a more "medicinal" effect steep 15-30 minutes. Will keep refrigerated for 24 hours.

Decoction = Tea made from bark, roots, seeds, twigs and berries. Put 1-3 tablespoons of cut herb, seed, root, bark, etc into a pot of 16-32 oz of water and allow to sit in non-boiled water for at least 5-10 minutes. Set on stove and bring to a slow boil then turn down to a simmer for 10-30 minutes. Strain and drink. Will keep about 72 hours if kept refrigerated. Most decoctions can also be brewed via single cup through a regular infusion process as noted above but without the strength.

Turkish Bath (Hamam)

Here are the ‘must have's for any Turkish Bath bundle:

Wide, round bowls in silver, copper or bronze for pouring water over the head and body. These were intricately decorated by hand with reliefs and inlays.

Thin bath towels called peshtemal were wrapped around the body and the head. These were woven from cotton or silk, either embroidered or with modern-looking plaid designs. The largest peshtemal was wrapped around the waist, the middle size around the shoulders and the smallest around the head. Bath bundles also included various other fabrics and cloths for keeping the head warm, for spreading on the floor to sit on or special ceremonial robes like a silk robe for the bride in a bridal bath, etc.

The soap dish was a lidded container with a handle on top and holes underneath like a sieve. Soaps, combs and various rubbing, exfoliating and lathering mitts like kese , a silk mitt or loofah pieces and cloths, were placed inside it.

Other items typically found in the bundles were, henna, kohl, eyeliners called surme, mirrors, metal containers for keeping jewellery and raised sandals or clogs made of wood, ivory and silver to keep the feet out of water. Rosewater in a bottle, carried in a special wooden case was also very important as no other perfume was considered proper for the newly washed body.

Depending on the wealth and social status of the bathing lady, these items could be simple or very ornate and valuable, adorned with jewels and made of valuable metals. It was also customary to take refreshments to the bath to eat together during and after the bath like fruit, lemonade, sherbet and sweets.

Despite the declining importance of the Turkish Bath in the daily life of many of Turkey's inhabitants, the traditions of bathing - using natural oils and soaps, exfoliation, scrubbing and bathing as ritual for body and mind - has persisted. Now, the benefits are once again being appreciated by those in search of simpler, more natural and time-tested methods in their bath to complement or replace the synthetically manufactured products that are commonly found today.

Uncooked Icing

Uncooked Icing No. 1
Take four tablespoonfuls water and beat into it enough XXXX sugar
to make it thick enough to spread. To beat this icing well improves
the texture. Add flavoring desired.
Uncooked Icing No. 2
Take four tablespoonfuls of milk and beat into it enough XXXX
sugar to make it thick enough to spread. Flavor and color as desired.
Uncooked Icing No. 3
Take four tablespoonfuls of cream and beat into it enough XXXX
sugar to make it thick enough to spread. Flavor as desired.
Chocolate Icing
Make over any of the uncooked icing recipes, and add to it enough
melted chocolate or cocoa to give it the desired color and flavor.
Nut Icing
Take four tablespoonfuls of water, and beat into it enough XXXX
sugar to make it the consistency of thick cream. Add to it one cupful
of broken nut meats and spread on the cake. If the icing is too thin
and runs off, add a little more sugar, and if too stiff to spread well,
add a little more water. The coated nuts have a better effect when
the icing is made with water than with milk or cream.
Fruit Icing
Make over the Nut Icing recipe, substituting candied fruits for the
nuts.
Confectioners' Icing
This icing is used with metal tubes for decorating cakes. The art can
be quickly and easily mastered.
Take the whites of two eggs, and beat into them enough XXXX
confectionery sugar to make it stiff enough to hold its shape. The
only difficult part about making this icing is the beating. It should
be beaten until light and creamy. The amount of sugar needed will
vary greatly, according to the size of the eggs used.
The icing is not desirable for covering cakes, as it becomes very
hard. It is good only for decorating.
Metal icing tubes can be purchased at any good hardware store.
Mocha Icing
One-thirds cupful butter
Two tablespoonfuls cocoa
One and one-half cupfuls confectioners’ sugar
Cold coffee

Cream the butter, add the sugar and cocoa, then cold coffee until of
consistency to spread

Beauty tips for men

Think about it. What is the first thing people notice about you? It's your face. Healthy skin is the most important element of a great looking face. It is not only easy to achieve; it is a critical thing you can do for yourself. Put your best face forward. As a professional make-up artist and founder of the first skin care and cosmetics line created especially for men, I'd like to share some basic tips and guidelines to encourage healthier skin. It's simple

#1 Keep it clean.
Men have approximately 15% oilier skin and significantly larger pores than women do. Basically, this means you get dirtier. It is very important; no matter what skin type you have, to clean your face every day. Deep cleansing is important. It keeps pores clear, skin healthy and you looking good.

Cleansing products should be as chemical-free as possible. Deodorant soaps shouldn't be used on your face. They cleanse with harsh ingredients and leave a detergent film behind. This may irritate your skin and will clog your pores. Go natural.

A good scrub is essential for healthy clean skin. It will remove dead cells and smooth the surface of your face. The scrub should be strong without being damaging. Stay away from scrubs that contain rough elements like ground bits of nut or seed extracts. They will tear and damage the skin. A good scrub will invigorate you, not hurt you.

Moisturizing is a necessity. Again, the product with the least amount of chemical additives is the best. Always use a light moisturizer on your face after cleansing and shaving and don't forget your neck!
For an intensive moisture treatment use pure vitamin E, or aloe vera oil. It is available in liquid form, or just break open a capsule and apply the oil directly to the skin. This is a great under eye treatment. Remember it is very important to moisturize this sensitive area of the face. It is one of the first places to show age because the under eye skin secretes no necessary oils on its own.

#2 Keep it toned.

Remember to look for a product that is not photosensitive (sensitive to light).

#3 Treat your skin.
Depending on your skin type (oily, dry or combination) and the time of year, there are different products that treat and enhance your skin. Different treatments will have very different results. It is important to know your skin's needs.
All types of skin need to be exfoliated. This is the removal of dead skin cells that form daily. This is an essential part of skin treatment.
After shaving, you need to moisturize with a product that has absolutely no alcohol in it. Avoid heavy fragrant after-shave products too, as they can irritate the skin.

Top ten Makeup Tips For Valentine Day

Before you know, the day is upon you! But there is no need to panic. You can make Valentine Day a grand success by planning your 'dressing up' well in advance. Women are notorious for making their dates wait. This Valentine's day you can show your partner that you are a pretty face and more.

Follow the tips below to get the right looks right on time:

Half your problem is solved if you know where you are likely to go on the big day. Even if you do not know the specifics, it will help to know if you are going to be outdoors or indoors, if it is going to be a formal date or an informal hanging out at the local pub. Once you know that you can plan your dress much in advance, dress for the weather and the occasion. There is simply no point in pulling out your silk cocktail gown for a pub get together with the gang! If it is outdoors, make sure you are warm and cute in your woolies rather than ridiculous and cold in bare shoulders.
Depending on the ambience, plan your hairstyle. Curls are flattering and elegant and free tresses never go out of fashion. If you are going to a breezy place, make sure to have something to tie your hair with or secure them in a nice style before you move out instead of making a spectacle of yourself.
Makeup will make your evening exciting. Keep your lips soft and kissable with lip gloss or flavored chapsticks. Lipsticks stain collars and create a mess on glasses as well. If you do decide to wear lip color, make sure to test the shade before you had and top it with lip gloss to get the sexy pout! In all cases, keep your lipstick or lip gloss handy to repair the damage, if any.
Make your eyes look intense and romantic with the right eye makeup. Thicken and lengthen your lashes with mascara. Apply a liner and use eye shadow with sparkle to create interest.
Use powder blush to create a cute rosy complexion and heighten the color in your cheeks.
Get a pedicure and manicure done a day before to be prepared for the big evening. There is nothing more exciting than flushed toes and pretty painted fingernails. Match the nail enamel shades with your clothes. You can add shine to the topcoat to create some excitement. Of course, use your own judgment with regards to your age and the destination.
Massage some scented oil into your toes before you step into your dainty slippers for the evening.
Spray the flirtiest perfume you could have found on your pulse points. Walk through the spritz to envelop yourself in the fragrance.
Pick a purse to match with your clothes and equip it with makeup you might have to repair.
Put on the smile - flirty or friendly- whatever the occasion calls for!

Proper Nail Care

The first thing we can all do in having good-looking hands is to keep them
clean by washing regularly. It's amazing how many people (guys especially, but some women and girls too) walk around with grubby non manicured finger nails. Get a nail brush and put it by the sink, so it's convenient whenever you wash your hands.
An added plus of a nail brushing your fingers is the way it feels: those soft bristles and the luxurious soapy lather take your hands on a daily very mini spa vacation. Always follow up with a nice hand cream or lotion to keep your hands moisturized.Attention Nail Bitters.stop nail biting.

Cosmetics

Cosmetics
A lot is said about beauty coming from within, but it is a fact that down the years women and men have used cosmetics to beautify their bodies. From body paint to kohl-men and women have tried to add an "extra" effect. Love them, curse them-you cannot ignore the importance of cosmetics.
From concealers, hair sprays, hair gels, face powders, nail enamels, to eye shadows-cosmetics have an entire industry to their credit. And the popularity of cosmetics goes on increasing with the popularity of beauty pageants.

There are many brands of cosmetics that you can choose from-and this is one area that you should not compromise on. From Chambor to Revlon, you will be spoiled for choice. However, the point is that the cosmetics you choose should match with your skin type, skin texture and skin color. You may seek the advice of a beautician if you are not sure about how to apply makeup and which kind of makeup suits you best. Before you use any new cosmetic product try to do a patch test to test for allergic reactions.

You can look your best without cosmetics-a naturally radiant skin can look great too. But, if you prefer to use cosmetics try for the "natural" look, that is-use makeup but do not look over made up. The right blusher, the right eye-shadow, the right base makeup can result in an effect that can make you look like the winner of a beauty pageant. This is after all what makeup artists do-they know how to apply the right kind of makeup to the celebrities.

However, one rule about applying makeup is, do not wear makeup for long stretches of time. Over use of cosmetics can make your skin rough. If you have to use cosmetics on a regular basis, make sure that you have a regular cleansing, toning, and moisturizing routine in place.

If you have sensitive skin, using natural cosmetic products from The Natural Cosmetics Company and Biotique would suit your skin type. If you are more conscious of the cosmetic brands, then opt for anything from Revlon, Mac, Loreal, Maybelline, FCUK, Avon, Crabtree and Evelyn Products, Elizabeth Arden, Marlene Klein and Gillette Products to Chambor, La Prairie, Garden Botanika, Crabtree and Evelyn Products, Charles of the Ritz and Tura International.

Mobile Memory Initiative

Mobile Memory Initiative
Enabling a new generation of media-rich mobile products

Consumers will come to expect the High Definition (HD) experience of the living room from the mobile devices they carry everyday. In addition, they'll want features including HD resolution video recorders, multi-megapixel

digital still cameras, 3D games, and media-rich web applications. These advanced mobile devices will be capable of encoding and transmitting high definition content directly to HDTVs, home PCs and servers. To pack all that functionality in a form factor that's thin, light and delivered with a pleasing aesthetic presents a tremendous challenge for mobile device designers. Chief among these challenges will be the development of a high-performance memory architecture that meets the power efficiency constraints of battery-operated products.

The Rambus Mobile Memory Initiative pioneers high-bandwidth, low-power memory signaling technologies that can meet the needs of future smartphones, netbooks, and mobile gaming and multimedia products. Technologies developed through the Mobile Memory Initiative will enable future mobile memory architectures capable of achieving data rates of 4.3 gigabits per second (Gbps) at best-in-class power efficiency. With this performance, designers can realize more than 17 Gigabytes per second (GB/s) of memory bandwidth from a single mobile DRAM device.

Internet searching May Boost Brain

For middle-aged and older adults, searching the Internet could be a boost to the brain,a new study suggests. As the brain ages,a number of structural and functional changes occur such as reductions in cell activity, which can affect cognitive function.Internet searches revealed differences between the normal book readers and web searchers. While all the participants showed the same activity as during the book reading, the web-savvy group also registered activity in the frontal, temporal and cingulate areas of the brain.Compared with reading, the wealth of choices on the internet requires that people make decisions about what to click on,which engages important cognitive circuits in the brain.
